BARNT GREEN CHORAL COMPLETES ITS CHRISTMAS PROGRAMME WITH AN EXCELLENT CONCERT

The choir’s busy Christmas programme commenced with a Chamber Choir from Barnt Green Choral singing the annual Memorial Service at Waseley Hills Crematorium on 9 December.  This uplifting service was attended by many families bereaved in the last 12 months, some grieving and some giving thanks for the life of their deceased loved one.  Many found great comfort and solace from the singing, and this event has now become a regular feature of Barnt Green Choral’s calendar.

After another year of major success, Barnt Green Choral has taken steps to strengthen further both its organisation and capability.  In 1951 the founders would never have dreamed that 75 years later the choir would still be going from strength to strength.  For seven and a half decades the Bromsgrove arts scene has been enhanced by the choir’s splendid renditions of some of the world’s best choral music.

Eight members of Barnt Green Choral joined with Bromsgrove Community Choir on Tuesday 1 July 2025 to perform the inventive modern-day cantata ‘AHOY! Sing for the Mary Rose’ at The Artrix Theatre.
