BARNT GREEN CHORAL LAYS THE FOUNDATION FOR SUCCESS FOR MANY DECADES TO COME

After another year of major success, Barnt Green Choral has taken steps to strengthen further both its organisation and capability.  In 1951 the founders would never have dreamed that 75 years later the choir would still be going from strength to strength.  For seven and a half decades the Bromsgrove arts scene has been enhanced by the choir’s splendid renditions of some of the world’s best choral music.

'Celebration Concert Great Success

April 07, 2025

Really enjoyable John Rutter concert on Saturday 5 April. A large audience filled the concert hall and were thrilled by the music. The seventeen-piece chamber orchestra was described as "fabulous" and the soprano soloist Jennifer Walker was simply superb. Steve Cowperthwaite, Director of Music, said about the choir "wonderful singing, the balance with the orchestra sounded great, and the unaccompanied bits were so well together". The choir received many compliments from both the audience and orchestra members. Full report and review of the concert coming shortly
